CORRECT STRATEGY FOR MINISTERIAL INTERVENTION
FOR PARTNER VISA APPLICATIONS
Ministerial Intervention is a last resort when no other options remain, intended for special cases. Below are strategies for two common cases handled by JL Migration & Education.
APPLY FOR PARENT VISA ONSHORE TO CARE FOR A CHILD WHO IS AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN
- Focus on the child’s welfare: Emphasize the best interests of the child being raised in Australia. Provide evidence of the relationship, including medical and educational records.
- Highlight humanitarian factors: Clearly explain the challenges you and your child would face if forced to leave Australia
REAPPLYING FOR VISA 820/801 AFTER INITIAL REFUSAL:
- Explain the initial refusal: Provide new factors or additional evidence to address the reasons for refusal.
- Demonstrate a stronger partnership: Provide more proof of a long-term, stable relationship.
General note for your considerations:
- The application must be unique, with clear and outstanding reasons.
- Prepare the file thoroughly, honestly, with persuasive submissions.
- Provide, label, and arrange evidence photos in a scientific manner.
- Avoid overusing the Ministerial Intervention process.
