A person who practices as a Registered Migration Agent is required to have a registration number called MARN (Migration Agent Registration Number). This number usually appears on their service contract, official website or in their email signature.
An interesting detail is that the first two digits of the MARN indicate the year they registered to practice. For example, MARN 2016039 means that Mr. Lee Paris registered his registration number in 2020. You can look up this name and number on the official website: www.mara.gov.au.
If you want to know whether the person consulting you is genuinely licensed to practice, please check the MARN. JL Migration & Education always clearly discloses our practice number - transparency is a mandatory standard at Us.
Currently, there are still many individuals who give migration consultation illegally, relying solely on personal experience and still calmly collecting fees from Clients. This poses many serious risks to Clients. Therefore, be a smart Client to protect the rights of yourself and your family.
